The University of San Diego men's basketball head coach Lamont Smith was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of domestic violence, according to a published report.
Police were called to a hotel in San Francisco after a report of domestic disturbance, Bay Area ABC affiliate KGO-TV reported. The police response came hours after USD closed out its regular season with a victory over the University of San Francisco.
Smith was arrested by the San Francisco police "without incident" before boarding a flight at Oakland International Airport at 9:45 a.m., Alameda County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Ray Kelly told USA TODAY Sports.
