“This is kind of the dream of us in bringing attention to the sport,” said vice captain Tyler George. “We’re really happy for each other and ourselves, but over the course of the last week, once we started a winning streak, the number of videos and classrooms and kids cheering and parents telling us their kids want to start curling, the level of enthusiasm from specifically the younger crowd in the U.S., they just adopted the game on a level we’ve never seen.
“That’s what drove us to keep going. We want our sport to be loved by our country as much as we love it.”
